Music

As a language, music speaks directly to the soul, our inner being. It speaks to our moods, and touches our emotions. Music certainly is a language, it is universal. One need not be troubled with translations when sound speaks to the soul. It does not have to be understood to be enjoyed.
Music has more power and influence on human emotion than any natural or artificial stimuli. Music certainly is a language,
It is a fact that humans can find and express them self as an individual using music as a universal medium, and music has an irresistible power over emotions. A sad melody can make us feel sad, a fast lively melody can energize us while a slow peaceful harmony relieves our tension.
Music can remind memories in our lives. We have a favorite song to playing in the special moments, when we heard again the song the music can take us back to our memories.            Likewise when we heard music from our childhood can take us back to childhood.
Whenever we are able to tune in to its deepest communication, I believe that music creates a direct link to the soul. It expresses moods and emotions so immediately that it has the power to change our psychological states in seconds.
All cultures of humans on planet earth have music. Even birds and whales have their own music. Music is a prelinguistic language of emotions and feelings, and crosses cultural and even species boundaries.
I like to listen to a lot of different kinds of music. I enjoy rock, classical, and especially Jazz. When I listen to a song in a language I do not understand, I lose some of the meaning by the words, but at the same time I lose none of the emotion or feeling by the tone of voice or instruments. Music can convey feelings almost directly, and a piece of instrumental music can mean the same or different things to anyone who hears it.
Another unique characteristic of music is that it is easily possible to build an entire orchestra using people from many different countries. It is not necessary for each member of an orchestra to understand the language of their peers. The universal language is clearly expressed in the musical
Music is a universal language that enables us to interact with each other on a level far above the spoken word. Music can affect our moods and represent many key experiences in our lives that ultimately define who we are. There is no verbal equivalent remotely capable of speaking to us with the same clarity of understanding than music. music crosses cultural boundaries and conveys a sense of belonging to anyone who hears it. As such it is a language that all humans can understand.

Say It Colors

The influence of color began very early in our lives when our parents decorated our rooms in pink for feminine or, blue for masculine. Every day we describe our emotions and impressions with metaphors: "I feel blue," "She's green with envy," "He was red in the face with anger."  When we consult with experts how to choose the right shades for decorating our homes and offices, coloring our hair and makeup applications, we stress the sophistication and importance it has in our lives personally.
Psychologists have proven many colors have special meanings of their own. While matching moods with colors, people have associated black with depression and sadness, blue for security, peacefulness and serenity, green with envy and jealousy, red for love or anger, yellow for cheerfulness and purple for dignity, passion and regalness.
The difference in hues will change the meaning dramatically. Where soft blue may project comfort and safety, an icy blue gives the impression of being cold and aloof.  Color and its effects play an extremely important role in our every day lives, even without realizing it ... whether male or female, Caucasian, Mexican or Black American. There has never been a written law dictating certain colors are either feminine or, masculine. We have let opinionated individualists throughout the decades impress their point of view upon us. Pink is just for ladies ... simply isn't true.
Pale pink is a great color for blonds and includes those of the male persuasion as well. Let's not forget pale blue and soft lavender either. So, don't tell the men in your life it makes him less of a man. Wearing pink and lavender won't denounce his masculinity.  Colors we see affect us just as much as colors we wear and causes a reaction from people we meet. It reflects our individual personalities, desires and moods. A certain color we wear may say, "Hey everyone look at me!" Yet another may emphatically state, "Leave me alone, I don't want to be noticed."
How do you react to what others express about you? A compliment of how great you look in a certain color is exhilarating and uplifting. Those cheery words spoken make us feel stupendous. We always feel wonderful when a stranger and acquaintance acknowledges how good we actually look and reinforces how we feel about ourselves.  Compliments are meant to be received. So go out there and tell the world how wonderful a color looks on them even if you don't know them.
A kindness given will always be passed along ... it's infectious and will grow like ripples upon the water.

Bandung Food Fest (Es krim Rasa) Jl. Tamblong

For ice-cream lovers, this parlor is must-try place. From the outside of this old building, you can see attractive yellow canopies welcoming and inviting everyone to enter the building. By the door, a waiter wearing a small apron and a small hat is ready to help.
Like its name suggests, you can find loads of kinds ice cream here, starting from the usual one easily found in other ice-cream parlors like chocolate, strawberry, vanilla, and green tea to the traditional kinds like tape hijau and cente manis, which use coconut milk – not milk –as its main ingredients. They’re all mouth-watering.
If you want more than ice-cream than ice-cream, don’t worry. Cakes, cookies, even lunch and dinner items can be found here. And for sure the taste is as good as their ice-creams. Yum!

David Cook An Ocean Away (article about direct & indirect speech)

David cook is humbled and pleased. How come? It’s all because of his Indonesian fans. The seventh America idol said, ”There’s  an intensity and a desire not just for the idol or for me, but for music in general and that’s very uplifting.”
It’s just too bad that Indonesian was not part of his first solo tour. He was a bit near. Thought,  just a hop, skip and a jump away in Manila, Philippines. Then again, that’s not near enough for most people. You can lure him with three thing.“ just give me a guitar, a microphone and five people in the audience, and I”ll figure it out,” he said.
He is absolutely open to playing in Indonesia and anywhere, actually. ”just the opportunity to play is something that I don’t take lightly at all. It was not long ago when I was fighting to get some bar owner to let me play and take 20 percent at the door.”
For now thought. You”ll just have to be content that he performed just an ocean away. The Manila concert was special even more because it was the first time that he performed with runner-up David Archuleta, not counting their American Idol tours.”Archie’s one of my best friend and I haven’t seen him in a while. This is a good chance for us to catch up on top of coming out here and trying to blow the roof off,” he said.
Other than stretching and watching warming up before  a show .David said that they all “put their hands in the middle and say something stupid,” Aside from that. David also did what he called positive visualization. “ I really try to visualize the show going well and the show going well and the crowd loving it.” He said.
As for his new album, David said that he’s “really happy with every song that we’ve been able to record.” Asked if he was to sing just one song from among all his new songs and reworked songs from his Al days, he said it would have to be “daily anthem.” “that song has the most history behind it… It was the little song that could… It’ a great sing-along song,” he said.
But wait, there’s more! He said he’s so open to all possibilities that he could be designing greeting cards five years from now. Bet those greeting cards will be sold out within the hour of its release
Another possibility: you might see him on the big screen. “I’ve expressed interest in acting. Some offers have come out; unfortunately, it hasn’t worked out just yet, but I would absolutely love to act,” he said
This is surely exciting for his fans, but no worries, he won’t leave music behind. “I’m a musician first. That’s always gonna take precedence

Direct and Indirect Speech

Direct Speech / Quoted Speech

Saying exactly what someone has said is called direct speech (sometimes called quoted speech)
Here what a person says appears within quotation marks ("...") and should be word for word.
For example:
She said, "Today's lesson is on presentations."
or
"Today's lesson is on presentations," she said.

Indirect Speech / Reported Speech

Indirect speech (sometimes called reported speech), doesn't use quotation marks to enclose what the person said and it doesn't have to be word for word.
When reporting speech the tense usually changes. This is because when we use reported speech, we are usually talking about a time in the past (because obviously the person who spoke originally spoke in the past). The verbs therefore usually have to be in the past too.
For example:
Direct speech
Indirect speech
"I'm going to the cinema", he said.
He said he was going to the cinema.

As a rule when you report something someone has said you go back a tense: (the tense on the left changes to the tense on the right):
