Our earth and sun are part of an independent group of stars called the Milky Way Galaxy. The name supposedly stems from the fact that the galaxy Galaxias kuklos, the milky circle, and the Roman later it became the Milky Way. The Greek even had a legend about the creation of our galaxy. Zeus, head of the gods, had a son by a human female. It was said that one day, wanting the baby to be a full – fledged god, Zeus put the baby beside the goodness Hera, his wife, while she was sleeping. But Hera woke up, surprised to find a baby who was not her own child at her breast, and pushed it away. Some of the milk spurted and became our galaxy (Courtesy : C n S Cool Teen )
